Perhaps you thought we got lost in the rain forest? Well, M & L did, but that doesn't explain our long silence. We're still here--just busy with work, school, and viviendo la vida loca. We'll try to fill in as much as possible, starting with M and L's overnight camping trip in el yunque. M did a solo overnight while the rest of us were in CA to make sure herds of rabid mongoose didn't suddenly emerge after dark. He did see a mongoose (non-native and often rabid), but he deemed a night at el yunque safe. They saw only two other people the entire time and had a great time despite the sword grass. It was challenging finding a spot for the tent, and they had to lay down leaves to even out the ground. Even so, L spent much of the night rolling on top of M. We're thinking of trying hammocks next time.
